I don’t know what it is about designers – but I find that many of us have a weird sense of humor and enjoy a good visual pun, typography memes, and dark comedy.
It’s been a week here. And if you’re ready for it to be over like I am, I thought you might enjoy some laughs of this type. (Sorry, I couldn’t help it!). My apologies to the originators. I’ve been collecting these typography memes for awhile and I’ve seen them on several sites.

A really nerdy take on type
You know you’re a typography nerd when you have a favorite joke about fonts.
Mine is from the Broadway show “Oh Hello” with Nick Kroll and John Mulaney. (It’s also on Netflix!). Mulaney’s character takes the stage as dramatic music plays. Then he delivers this line: George steps forward to read stage directions. He leans to one side because the “stage direction” is italicized. It’s probably funnier if you watch it! (28:20)
